Nurses
Papanui Medical Centre employs 8 experienced nurses.They work alongside and independantly of the GP's. As well as providing the usual services eg immunisations , child health checks, lifestyle advice etc, they have also developed some specialist skills.
These include spirometry, Adult sleep studies, Sleep programmes for children, Asthma education, Diabetes education, & Smoking cessation support.The nurses also provide a phone result service between 9 am to midday and 2pm til 4pm daily, this service is for results only and is not to be used for making appointments.
