Fees

Fees may vary from the standard fees quoted below.
Some visits cost more because they use more materials, take more time, or require reports to be written.   There is an additional fee for home visits.
Some visits cost less because they take little time or you see the practice nurse only.

If you have enrolled as a regular patient at the Papanui Medical Centre we get a subsidy which reduces your fee.
If you are a visitor or casual patient and have a Community Service Card or High Use Health Card your fee will be lower.

Fees for Casual patients to see a General Practitioner
            Adult 18+                      $55 – 70
            Child 6-17                     $51– 55
            Child under 6                $28           

Fees for Enrolled patients to see a GP Practitioner
            Adult 18+                      $38
            Child 6-17                     $26
            Child under 6                Free
           
            ACC surcharges            $18 - $26

A $10 surcharge applies to appointments on Saturdays
